If you would like to submit a review of this CD, I can honestly say that I am not a person that gets "star-struck" by artists, so I find myself in a very unique position here. When Clay Aiken sings "Solitaire" it goes straight to the soul. Absolutely incredible ---- you HAVE to listen to this song to believe it! Since singles are relatively inexpensive, you definitely owe it to yourself to pick up a copy TODAY!!!! You will agree it was money well spent - I'd bet the farm on it. Clay's version of "Solitaire" is so awesome. Everytime I listen to it I get tears in my eyes. He fills his songs with such emition. What a Great Talent he has. His voice touchs my soul. It is definitely a "MUST HAVE". I know that The Way is the album cut release, but Solitaire is THE hit. Clay nails this one too. The passion and emotion when singing this song comes through loud and clear. As if he were Neil and in his place when he wrote this song. The vocals are flawless and not over done. You feel what the writer intended you to feel when listening to this. Clay didn't redo this song, he made it his own. The Way is reason enough to buy this CD, but Solitaire is the cherry on top of the sundae. I'm glad to see commercial singles getting some love. This is Clay Aiken's latest. The B-side "Solitaire" peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 *which proves that if promoted, commercial singles can still sell.* "The Way" is the album track and one of my favorites from Clay's album, it's a sweet ballad with a bit of country flavor. "Solitaire" is the gorgeous Neil Sedaka penned ballad. It's hard to top Karen Carpenter's version of this classic, but Clay makes a worthy try using his powerful pipes at their best. Highly recommended.
